COMMENTS: This year we decided to just go. My husband and I cleared our calendars and finally went to see Spokane Civic Theatre's production of White Christmas. We had heard so much about it in previous years, and we were both raised in families with a love of musical theater, so we agreed to make time. Before the curtain, the director welcomed us and told us this was a sold-out performance... as were all their shows. The overture started, and we were lost until the curtain fell.

On the way home we shared our experiences. My husband waxed philosophical about enjoying the reminder of the greatest generation, and their closeness after the war.  Those were our dads. As for me, I was just surprised yet again at the talent we have here in Spokane. Impressive singers and actors provided a most enjoyable evening out, right here in our own backyard. The talent at the Civic and the time they put in are remarkableand it's a night like this that makes Spokane such a livable city.
