Field Report No. 20141023IC
The in-laws came to town last weekend. Before they arrived, my wife and I were mourning the end of summer - no swimming with little brothers or dinning outside into the late evening. We decided to deal with the cooling temperatures by hitting Greenbluff. Maybe the farm community in Mt. Spokane’s foothills would help us shake our summer skin.
Brothers-in-law (7 and 9) dug it immediately; helping us all embrace the mood at the Harvest House - families everywhere, corn maze, fresh pumpkin doughnuts, cider, country store, music, on and on. Nuts in a feel-good harvesty way. Okay, I'm ready for sweaters now.
Make a full day of your visit. You’ll want to explore a fair number of Greenbluff's several dozen farms and artisans. Don't miss pumpkin cannon.
