Field Report No. 20140916AH
COMMENTS: My first appointment having ended and the second session not beginning until noon, I thought I'd explore the side streets and get the blood circulating again. Not too crowded at 11. I made for the river but got sidetracked when I realized I could get coffee and quiet outdoor seating on the lawn at The Gingerbread Factory. An iced latte and a cinnamon roll never tasted so good.
KEY FEATURES: The Gingerbread Factory makes its home in a quaint little cottage on Commercial Street. Ample outdoor seating, make this a fantastic summer spot slightly off the beaten path.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Seattle Seahawks football jersey cookies. If you're looking for a place to park, best to hit up the side streets before 11:30, they fill up fast. If you're staying in town, it's best to go on foot after twelve.
